I found this fabric and LOVED it. It was my favorite color and type of fabric at the time - so it was perfect for my farewell dress (remember the guy I made the overcoat for? I made this for his farewell gathering). I did use a pattern and added my own twist to it, the farewell was the week school got out so I didn't have much time to create something from complete scratch. I don't really like the dress at all today... but that's okay!
