In Spring 2006, I went to prom. I bought the Sophia dress from J.Crew in black.
I added a little ruffle sleeve from material cut from the hem.
Now, 6 years later (and only worn twice by me, but borrowed a couple times by others) I decided I should get another use out of this gown and cut it to the knee to wear for my best friend's wedding. The requirement was black and knee length - so the cutting began. And I love it! (I may even add a longer sleeve now that I have extra material - we'll see)
